One of the new additions to the Falcon Fuel menu are different muffin flavors.
There are a variety of flavors, such as dark chocolate, apple granola, coffee and coffee cake. Adding these muffins to the menu has created a wider variety of options for students to choose from and enjoy. From sweeter flavors to more bitter or tart flavors, there’s really something for everyone.
Students not only enjoy the food they sell at Falcon Fuel but they also love stopping by to catch up with their two favorite baristas, Mrs. Dina Ramirez and Mrs. Mercedez Campos.
“Sales went up slightly, about two or three percent after these items were added to the menu,” Mrs. Ramirez said.
Sophomore Lyles Hutcheson talked about her enjoyment of the newest flavors.
“I like the coffee cake muffin better than the coffee muffin because it tastes more like a cupcake and less bitter, but I still like both,” Hutcheson said.
She said she likes eating the dark chocolate muffin after lunch as a dessert.
These delicious additions have brought a little extra joy to the school day, adding a change in the sweet touch of students’ usual snack routine.
“Sometimes my favorite muffins get sold out because so many other people like them too,” sophomore Blair Strachan said.
It’s clear that these muffins are a hit on campus. With the success of the new flavors, it’s likely that even more menu updates will be on the way in the future.
Falcon Fuel, a popular spot on campus where students stop throughout the day to grab quick snacks and recharge between classes and during lunch, is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
