Viva La Raza celebrates Day of the Dead

Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, is a holiday in remembrance of family and friends who have passed. In the U.S., this holiday is observed Nov. 1 and 2. Viva La Raza club, led by history teacher Mrs. Angela Wainright and Spanish teacher Ms. Vanessa Zamudio-Lara, created a large ofrenda, an altar to honor loved ones that is filled with mementos and flowers, in the Student Life Building to honor the souls of the dead.
